Amansie West Mutual Insurance Scheme gets validation committee

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), Sept 5, GNA – A five-member Mutual Health Insurance Validation Committee for the Amansie West district of Ashanti has been constituted.

The committee will vet all claims that will be submitted by all service providers of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). The committee comprises Mr Francis Wotey, a Pharmacist, Mrs Theresa Asare, Medical Assistant, Nana Akuoko, District Finance Officer, Mr Stephen Yaw Oduro, Claims Officer and Mr Oscar Asare-Andor, Scheme Manager.

Speaking at the meeting of the committee at Manso-Nkwanta at the weekend, Nana Opia Mensah, Board Chairman of the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme, announced that identification cards were being distributed to members of the scheme with the official take off of the scheme.

He appealed to service providers to offer quality service to all clients to ensure the success of the scheme.

Mr. Asare-Andor said the operations of the scheme in the district were being hampered by lack of transport, inadequate office equipment and appealed for assistance to ensure the total success of the scheme.
