Amansie-West Assembly to purchase grader to reshape feeder roads

Manso-Nkwanta (Ash), Feb. 24, GNA – The Amansie West District Assembly at its general meeting at Manso-Nkwanta has resolved to purchase a grader through its share of the District Assemblies Common Fund.

The grader would help the Assembly to rehabilitate feeder roads in the District to make them motorable.

The members also agreed to purchase a generator for the District Mutual Health Insurance Scheme, to be used at their office during power outages.

They also approved the 2007 annual estimate of 14.679 billion cedis.

Mr Ben Kwakye-Adeefe, District Chief Executive, appealed to the assembly members to assist in revenue mobilization to enable the Assembly to generate more revenue for the development of the area. He said Millicom Ghana Limited would soon complete its work at Manso-Nkwanta to enable the District to benefit from communication network.

Mr Newman Nkansah, the Presiding Member, appealed to the assembly members to meet their electorate after assembly meetings to brief them on the deliberations to enable them to be abreast with the Assembly’s policies and programmes 24 Feb. 07
