Amaliba appointed member of STC board

A member of the Legal Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba, has been appointed a member of the board of governors of the Intercity State Transport Company (STC) Coaches Limited.

This was contained in a statement issued from the Presidency on Wednesday, October 9, 2013.

He was named in the reconstituted board of the transport company, whose management has come under fire recently as a result of a stand-off with staff over the latter’s Providence Funds.

Chairman of the board will be Patrick Vanderpuye.

The members are: Yaw Obimpeh, Anita Esi Annan, Professor S. B. Kendie, Abraham Amaliba, Kenneth Gilbert Adjei and the Acting Managing Director.

President John Mahama has appointed industrialist and management consultant Michael Agyekum Addo as Chairman of the reconstituted Board of the Ghana Investment Promotions Centre (GIPC).

Other members of the GIPC Board appointed by the President in consultation with the Council of State are Mrs. Stephanie Baeta, Irene Demanya, Gwenda Sam, Aaron Dickson, Ebenezer Nii Ayi Aryeetey, Aaron Rex Opoku-Ahene and the Ag. CEO of the GIPC.

Other boards reconstituted by the President are the PSC Tema Shipyard Company and the Intercity STC Coaches Limited Boards.
