AMA demolition exercise in line with Akufo-Addo’s ‘make Accra clean’ vision – Numo Blafo

The Public Relations Officer for the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) Numo Blafo has stated that Thursday’s demolition exercise that took place at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle is in line with President Nana Akufo-Addo’s vision to make Accra one of the cleanest cities in the country.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly together with members of the National Disaster Management Organisation and the Police demolished stalls on the pavements Thursday morning. Numerous hawkers on the pavement were asked to vacate the place.

Although the Accra Mayor Mohammed Adjei Sowah was not present during the exercise, sources revealed that he instructed his men to discharge the duties.

Addressing pressmen on the grounds, the mouthpiece of the AMA Numo Blafo said that the demolition exercise was inspired by the President’s motive to make Accra cleanest city.

“We were all in this country when President Nana Akufo-Addo said that under his governance he will make Accra neat, one of the finest cities in Africa.”
