…gives out permits to illegal developers
TCCL Investigation Desk Report The Presiding Member (PM) of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), Desmond Addo-Biney, has found himself in a web of troubles because his nefarious activities are now public.
In our Monday edition, we published an audited report which exposed his hidden activities at the Assembly. According to the report, he has collected travelling and transport allowances, running into GH¢1,200.00 between January to December 2010. Another issue was that he has turned the Public Relation Complaints Committee of the Assembly into propaganda machinery and prosecuting an ‘evil’ agenda of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Another dirty report is that Addo-Biney, who is also the Assembly Member for Okponglo Electoral Area, has illegally put up a mansion on government land. The building is situated on the La Bawuleshie School land, virtually making it impossible for the school to put up fence wall.
Again, it has emerged that he has been issuing permits at will to some developers illegally and these have created animosity between some workers of the AMA and the developers. Stay tuned for more!
