Allow the Bible to govern your life – Pastor

Pastor Jehoshaphat Kingsford Oduro, Seventh Day Adventist Church (SDA) District Pastor of Sekondi has called on Christians to allow the Bible to govern every facet of their lives to ensure progress in happiness.

He said Christians must use the Bible as a manual for their day to day activities in order to know how God expects them to respond to every situation.

Pastor Oduro was preaching the sermon on Bible Sabbath as part of activities marking the week-long celebration of the Bible Society of Ghana (BSG) at the South-West Ghana Conference of the SDA Church at Sekondi.

This year’s Bible Week celebration is on the theme: “God’s Transforming Word: Life for All”.

Pastor Oduro said the Bible had influenced his personal life tremendously and appealed to Christians to study the Bible well to influence their lives positively.

Later in an interview with the GNA, Ama Anim Larbi, Communications Leader of the Sekondi District of SDA, asked the Bible Society of Ghana to translate the Bible into more local languages to reach out to majority of Ghanaians.

She appealed to Ghanaians to donate generously towards the translation of the Bible into more local languages for the BSG to reach to every soul. Mr Emmanuel Agyekum Menka, Officer-in-Charge of the Western Sector of the GBS, appealed to Christians to be guided by the Bible to experience massive transformation in their lives.

He said it is the hope of the BSG to use the Bible as a constitution to regulate the affairs of the nation and individual conducts to ensure a holistic society.
