Allow ‘fee owing’ students write their final exams – GES

The Education Ministry has given strict orders to all heads of Senior high schools to allow all registered students write their final exams regardless of whether they owe fees or not.

The Ministry’s Chief Director Enoch Hemans Cobbina gave the order when he toured some schools in the Eastern region as students begun their West African Secondary School Certificate Exams today.

The directive came after the team from the ministry was told over a dozen students of the Presbyterian senior high technical school in Adukrom-Akuapem were stopped from writing their oral paper.

The students, authorities intimate owe the school about 60,000 cedis.

But The Chief Director’s intervention remedied the situation saying all students owing fees must be allowed to take part in the on-going WASSCE exams.
