Allied Health Professions Council’s response to CODAHP petition upsets members

Members of the Coalition of Degree Allied Health Professionals are unhappy with the response they got from the administrator of the Allied Health Professions Council when they presented their petition to him on Wednesday morning.

The graduates presented the petition to the regulatory body to help them secure jobs as some of them have been staying home since they completed school in 2012 and their number keeps adding up as the years go by.

Administrator of the Council, Mr Adjei Frimpong, who received the petition on behalf of the registrar however referring to the Health Professions Regulatory Bodies Act 2013, stated that the Council was not obligated to submit the list of graduates from public institutions to the Ministry of Health as they do with graduates from the Ministry’s training institutions because they are not bonded by the Ministry .

His response, however, did not go down well with the group.
