Allied Health Professionals picket Ministry of Health

The coalition of unposted Allied Health professionals has besieged the (MoH) to demand clearance and posting in order for them to serve at various health facilities.

The aggrieved individuals numbering about 60 who were clad in red clothes and red armbands said they will not leave the premises of the MoH until their demands are met.

Accra FM Reporter Nana Amoako Gyampa, who visited the scene on Tuesday, November 28 reported that the aggrieved individuals also accused the MoH of unfair treatment meted out to them as their colleagues in other health professionals have been attended to and given jobs.

They do not understand why their colleagues should be working and enjoying their salaries whiles they are still at home unemployed.

It will be recalled that the Coalition embarked on a similar picketing exercise at the MoH in March and September this year over the same issue.

Some of the members said they had to travel from Tamale, Obuasi, Kumasi, Cape Coast and Kintampo with their bags, pillows, mosquito nets and other personal effects in order to sleep at the premises of the ministry to drum home their concerns.
