All should help move the country – Mpare

Accra, March 9, GNA – Mr Frank Mpare, Secretary to the Cabinet, has called on the Ghanaian Christian community to support President John Agyekum Kufuor with prayers and rally behind him to carry through his development vision for the country.

“We must recognise that we are all in the same boat, if we should sink, we would sink together”, he said, when interacting with members of the Kaneshie Men’s Fellowship of the Presbyterian Church at the Castle, Osu, on Thursday.

They were at the Castle to see how the business of government was carried out at the Presidency.

Mr Mpare said it was important that all Ghanaians accepted to collectively help to move the country forward in development. The leader of the Fellowship, Mr Isaac Frimpong said they had been following closely the steady progress being made by the country under President Kufuor’s administration.

“The achievements of the Government are admirable. Apart from the macro-economic stability, we are also impressed with the government’s respect for individual freedoms, the rule of law and good governance practices.”

Mr Christian Adu Atiemoh, the Chief Director, had earlier taken them round to see the Castle.
