All national executive officers of the National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS have been suspended.
The 46th Annual congress of the union at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology came to an abrupt end when chaos broke out prior to the election on Sunday.
The Congress has been suspended till further notice. A seven-member committee made up of SRC and local NUGS representatives of the various Universities has since taken charge of the union.
Local NUGs representative and SRC President of the University of Ghana Edmund Kombat in an interview with XYZ News said the committee will soon announce a new date for the congress.**
