All Nation University to course in oil and gas engineering

Koforidua, Sept 26, GNA – All Nations University (ANU) in Koforidua is to offer a new programme in oil and gas engineering, Dr Sam Donkor, President of the institute, said when he interacted with the media in Koforidua on Friday. He said the school was in the process of getting accreditation for the programme, adding “We believe we must make positive contribution to our mother land”.

The media interaction followed a recent police swoop on hideouts of suspected armed robbers in the New Juaben Municipality during which some of the students, mostly foreigners, were apprehended. Dr Donkor expressed worry about the issue and said the institute was known for its discipline and that authorities of the institute were doing their best to ensure that such an unfortunate incident would not occur again.

He said the ANU was committed to produce upright graduates who would be assets to the nation. Dr Donkor said a minority of the student population that was engaged in criminal activities would not be allowed to tarnish the hard won reputation of the institute.
