All African Students Union celebrates Inter. Students Day

Accra, Nov. 16, GNA – Members of the All Africa Students Union from all over Africa will meet in Accra on Monday to celebrate the 62nd International Students Day.

The celebration of the day, which falls on November 17 every year, would honour individuals on the continent who have distinguished themselves by contributing their quota to the promotion of quality education in Africa.

A statement issued on Sunday by the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) said the celebration would focus on quality education, repression of rights, war and HIV/AIDS.

Meanwhile, it said, the funeral and burial of the late NUGS President, Mr. Prince Abdul Hanan Adams would take place at the South Campus of the University of Education, Winneba on Friday, November 21 and Saturday 22 respectively.
