Aliu leaves for Tunisia

Accra, Nov 13, GNA – Vice President Aliu Mahama left Accra on Sunday night for Tunisia to attend the World Summit on Information Society, which opens on Tuesday.

The meeting, the second of its kind is expected to discuss the commitment towards financing universal access and governance of the Internet.

The Vice President would deliver a speech at the plenary session of the meeting, which would be opened by Mr Kofi Annan, UN Secretary General.

The Minister of Communication, Mr Albert Kan Dapaah who is the Chairman of the African Caucus of the Society is already in Tunisia for the meeting.

Mr Akwasi Osei Adjei, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs accompanied the Vice President.
