Alhaji Awudu Karim adjudged 2013 National Best Farmer

Alhaji Awudu Karim has been adjudged the 2013 National Best Farmer at the 29th edition of the National Farmers Day celebrations.

The 58-year-old from the Kasena Nankana District of the Upper East region was however not present to pick his award.

As part of his prizes, he will receive a three-bedroom house, a pick-up vehicle and a tractor.

Mr. Edward Maxwell Aninkorah and Abdulai Seidu were also adjudged second and third national best farmers respectively.

The first runner-up will take home a tractor and accessories sponsored by the EDIF while the second runner-up would receive a double cabin Pickup donated by Stanbic Bank.

This year’s Farmers’ Day celebrations, took place at Sogakope in the Volta Region.
