Alan is ready to lead NPP in 2016 – Aide

A former Presidential aspirant, Alan Kyeremanten, is considering running for the flagbearer slot of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2016 elections.

The twice defeated aspirant has been quiet about his ambitions, but his Aide, Philip Longdon in an interview with XYZ News said intense pressure is mounting on his boss to declare his intention.

“There is heavy pressure from members of the party for Alan to step forward and put himself up for the flagbearership position and he is considering this very carefully.

“There are a lot of people [within the party] who want to see him as the next flagbearer of the party.

“There is a believe that despite the good works that has been done by our former leaders; we still haven’t been able to win power and this time round it is a very strong believe that Alan should step forward and lead the party into the next election”.

Mr. Longdon added that the former Minister of Trade and Industry under the erstwhile Kufuor administration would declare his intention once the NPP executive election is over.
