Ala Adjetey must be brought to order -Bagbin

The Minority Leader in Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has revisited his threat to square it up with the Speaker of Parliament.

According to him, he may be compelled to initiate a motion for the removal of the Speaker of Parliament, Rt Hon. Peter Ala Adjetey from office for what he described as the Speaker?s repressive conduct ?if he refuses to fall in line?.

?Mr Adjetey needs to and must be brought to order?.

He was speaking to the paper in an interview in Accra.

Mr Bagbin has consistently accused the Speaker of heckling members especially those on the minority side of the House.

He explained that as the leader of the minority in parliament, he has a duty to protect members from actions that seek to curtail their freedom of expression and the consistent heckling from Mr Ala Adjetey.

Expressing total dissatisfaction with the conduct of the Speaker, the Minority Leader warned that he may very soon ?issue a memo on the conduct of the Speaker and if he refuses to fall in line, I will move a motion for his removal.
