Akyerensua queen dies in accident

Kumasi, April 17, GNA – The Akyerensua Traditional Council in the Brong Ahafo Region has announced the death of Nana Ama Asaa Yeboaah 1, queen of the traditional area.

A statement issued in Kumasi on Monday by the council said Nana Yeboaah died on March 10 through a motor accident on the Accra/Kumasi road. The statement said the queen together with the Paramount Chief of the area, Nana Agyewodin Adu Ampem, were returning from Accra after attending the Golden Jubilee anniversary parade at the Independent square when the accident occurred at Kubease in the Ejisu-Juaben District.

The statement said the one-week/40th day rites would be performed on April 24 at Akyerensua.
