Akyemansu DCE appeals for hard work

Tom Budu, Akyemansu, District Chief Executive (DCE), has appealed to departmental heads, to contribute their maximum quota to the development of the nation.

“As citizens it is time we commit ourselves to the growth of the economy as best that we can, to achieve the ultimate goals of the nation,” he said. Mr Budu gave the warning when he visited the various departments in the district and interacted with the workers.

He advised the workers to discourage the habit of absenting themselves from work as well as lateness and other acts of indiscipline.

Mr Budu described himself as an activist of the Millennium Developmental Goals and said sustainable development at the district level is the pillar to achieve the objectives.

The workers expressed the need for the provision of adequate accommodation for workers who live at far places and the rehabilitation of roads in the area to ensure easy commuting from their homes and work places.
