Akyem Adontonhene to provide community with computers

Nana Kofi Amoako Gyampah I, Adontenhene of Akyem Kotokuom, has promised to provide the local information communication technology centre with computers this year, and also institute a scholarship scheme for the best students.

Nana Gyampah, who gave the promise at a durbar, said the scholarship scheme would be supported by members of Akyem Kotoku Association in London to facilitate teaching and learning.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency, he asked the youth to strive hard to exhibit their potentials to help them grow.

Nana Gyampah commended the natives for their collaborative effort towards the provision of 40- seater water closets for the town.

Oberempon Boakye Akoto II, Chief of the town expressed concern about the poor road network from Ofoase – Ayirebi to the rest of the town and called for its immediate rehabilitation.

He said the bad nature of the road is retarding development and undermining the living standard of farmers.

Nana Tanoa Brakoa II, Queen mother of Akyem Kotokuom, expressed dissatisfaction about the indecent dressing among the youth and asked them to discourage the habit.
