Akwatia Youngsters Club to support the AIDS campaign

Akwatia, Sept. 8. GNA – The Akwatia Youngsters Club, a benevolent society, has launched an awareness campaign against the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Formed some 20 years ago, by a group of public -spirited people, the Club is also investing in agricultural production to generate money to fund development projects.

Mr Samuel Agyei, the Chairman, made this known when he and other members of the Club were sworn in as the new executive members, at a ceremony at Akwatia in the Kwaebibrim District.

The District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Yiadom-Boakye praised the club for breaking new grounds and expressed the commitment of the District Assembly to collaborate with the members to implement the development initiatives.
