Akwatia NDC Constituency Assistant Secretary dies

Kade, Dec. 08, GNA – Mr Charles Dakudzi, Assistant Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in the Akwatia Constituency died six days after he was elected.

He died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness. Mr Dakudzi, who was in his early 40s, won the contest for the assistant secretary positions despite the fact that he was not physically present at the conference. He polled 66 votes as against 16 by Mr Ahmed Tijani and Mr Anthony Dugbadzi who polled five votes. A party source told the Ghana News Agency that Mr Dakudzi’s death was a serious blow to

the party. He said though he was an activist of the NDC, he related well with members of the

opposition parties and it was hoped that he would entice many of them to join or vote for the

NDC.
