Akufo-Addo’s wife worried about his deteriorating health

The wife of the 2012 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, is worried about the deteriorating health of her husband, Nana Akufo-Addo, who has recently filed his nomination once again to join in the campaign trail, trying for a third time to bring power to the NPP.

A source in his house at Nima, who confirmed this stated, “Nana is scheduled for surgery in the UK later in November this year. Madam (Mrs. Akufo-Addo) is naturally concerned that Nana must be strong as possible for the surgery.”

Akufo-Addo’s loving wife is vexed about the strain of campaigning, which will further erode his speculated already ill health.

The health of Nana Addo has recently become topical in the media following his recent frequent visits to see his medical doctors in the United Kingdom.

His last visit was in June, prior to filing his nomination to contest the position of flagbearer of his party. Though reports confirmed that his doctors had advised him to take a bow from active politics, Nana Addo has defied the call from his doctors.

According to the reliable source, Akufo-Addo has been strongly advised to rest. “Madam now refuses to entertain most politicians and friends who come to the house to visit him and talk politics,” the source revealed in an anonymity pleading voice.

This discontent and worry over Nana’s health by his wife has brought much anxiety to the Akufo-Addo for President campaign.

Nana Akufo-Addo, who has been in frontline politics for more than 30 years, believes he is destined to rule Ghana while, at this stage of his health status, his wife seems to believe that it is time for him to step down since his very activeness in politics has taken a toll on his health.
