Akufo-Addo’s daughter wept after election victory

It was an emotional moment for the family of the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when one of her two daughters Dokua, broke down in tears after his father’s electoral victory.

Dokua who shed tears of joy, was seen standing behind the other one ready to congratulate her father soon after results announced by Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Madam Charlotte Osei declared him winner.

This was moments after President John Dramani Mahama called on phone to concede defeat and also congratulated him for his victory with a 53.85% win as against 44.43%.

Meanwhile, several congratulatory messages across the world continue to pour in for Nana Addo and his New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the one touch victory.

He is expected this morning, to join the congregants of the Accra Ridge Church for a thanksgiving service.

Accompanying him will be his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, Vice-President-elect, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his wife, Samira Bawumia.
