Akufo-Addo visits Kwahu for Easter, Obomeng Hene’s coronation

Reassuring Ghanaians of a sure fulfillment of all pledges made by his government, President Akufo-Addo indicated that the four years of his reign in government will produce nothing less than a prosperous economy and a peaceful country.

The President was at Obemeng Kwahu Saturday April 15 to grace the coronation ceremony of the chief of Kwahu Obomeng as well as to mark the Easter festivities.

Speaking to the gathering, the President stated that measures were in place to pursue the fight against galamsey without fear or favour of any foreign national adding however that the enforcement of the laws to avert indiscipline does in no way depict hatred for the Chinese.

He among other things reiterated his pledge to realise the Free SHS policy, find lasting solutions to the menace of unemployment in the country particularly for persons engaged in illegal mining activities; galamsey, and to launch a cattle ranching policy to curb the Fulani menace.

The President also promised to initiate the construction of a bridge which links Kwahu to the Afram Plains.
