Akufo-Addo swerves Kwabena Agyepong with National Petroleum Commission job

The hopes of suspended General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwabena Agyei Agyepong to become the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Commission is far from reach.

In February this year, news went viral that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had penciled him to head the NPC a decision that appeared to have angered some section of party bigwigs who resisted the move indicating he contributed little to its electoral victory.

Fresh information according a starrfmonline.com report indicates that seasoned Journalist and private legal practitioner Egbert Faibille is set to be named as the head of NPC.

The report indicates that the presidency will soon hand over to him the authority through a letter of appointment.

It would be recalled that Kwabena Agyepong was suspended for violating Article 3(D) of the party’s constitution which enjoins members to publicly uphold the decisions of the party, through various acts.

He was also accused of engaging in unilateral actions and activities without consultation of, or authorization by other party executives.
