Akufo-Addo not left for UK – NPP

The office of Nana Akufo-Addo, flag bearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has not left for the UK as purported in a statement circulating on social media, his Press Secretary Eugene Arhin has said.

“Please ignore any statement purportedly signed by me saying Nana Akufo-Addo has left for the UK and will return to Ghana on the 25th of September. It’s a fake, as usual. Thanks,” Mr Arhin said.

Nana Akufo-Addo leaves for the UK

September 9, 2016

The Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has, in the early hours of today, September 9 2016, left the shores of Ghana for the United Kingdom.

Whilst in the UK, Nana Akufo-Addo is scheduled to hold a birthday party for his nephew; he will also, meet with the UK branch of the party to jaw jaw on positive strategies that, will aide in the prosecution of an effective campaign in the upcoming December 7 2016 elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo is expected back to Ghana on Sunday, September 25 2016.
