Akufo-Addo leads Alan, Addai-Nimoh on ballot paper

Former Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be the first on ballot papers for the delegates’ conference of the party on Saturday, October 18.

Balloting was conducted on Friday, September 12 at NPP’s headquarters in Accra.

Member of Parliament for Mampong Constituency Francis Addai-Nimoh will have his portrait on the ballot papers second to Nana Addo’s while Former Minister Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen’s will be third.

The three will be contesting the party’s presidential primary after the withdrawal of Joe Ghartey and Kofi Osei-Ameyaw.

Seven members of the party initially expressed interest to be its flagbearer ahead of the 2016 elections, but two – Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku and Stephen Asamoah Boateng – were voted out at a Special Electoral College.
