Akufo-Addo celebrates ‘victory’ at thanksgiving service

President-elect Nana Akufo-Addo this morning joined the congregants of the Accra Ridge church for a thanksgiving service.

The newly elected President who is a member of the Ridge church attended the service to celebrate and appreciate God for the victory in the December 7 elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo together with his family and running mate Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia , all clad in white were offered a prayer of blessing and protection by Reverend Kobina Aryee as they begin their journey of leadership.

Addressing the congregation, the President elect expressed his profound gratitude to God for seeing him through the process and crowning him winner. He also appreciated the Reverend Minsters, former NPP presidential hopeful, Alan Kyeremateng and all Ghanaians for the immense support during the elections.

The NPP Flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo Friday, was announced the emerging winner of the just ended general elections. Celebrations have been ongoing following the Electoral Commission’s official declaration.
