Lawyer and Deputy General Secretary of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Nana Obiri Boahene says his flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo can only debate PPP’s flagbearer, Papa Kwesi Nduom and CPP’s Ivor Greenstreet should his party accept to participate in IEA debate.
The Institute of Economic Affair’s (IEA) attempt to pitch together President John Dramani Mahama and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on the same platform to debate has hit a snag again.
But according to Nana Obiri Boahene, the NDC has earlier belittled the event and accused the organizers as NPP allies.
He said the NPP will not accept to debate the incumbent President until an apology is rendered to all parties involved in the debate.
“Nana Addo can debate Papa Kwesi Nduom, Ivor Greenstreet and others but not President Mahama,” He said in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’.
