The Chief Executive officer of the Food and Drugs Board,Dr.Stephen Opuni, has rubbished the NPP’s free SHS electoral promise as another “sakawa”.

He was speaking at a durbar of chiefs and people of Ampoma in the Kintampo south district, when the first lady Lordina Mahama paid a working visit.

“The NPP has nothing to offer the people of Ampoma. What did the NPP do for the people of Ampoma when they were in office for eight years?Just name one project.

“We were here three and a half years to solicit for your votes. We saw how deplorable the road networks in the district were. With the help of the first lady and her husband, your roads are now tarred, you have a new clinic, the school feeding programme has been extended to Anyimah and so many developments in the Kintampo south district. What your district needs now is equitable, accessible and quality SHS system but not free senior school education”,he said

The first lady commissioned a new clinic block, made a donation of food items and assorted household items to the muslim community in the district and promised more developmental projects if the NDC was retained in power.

Lordina Mahama was accompanied by Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister,Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo,Council of State Member,Cecilia Johnson,Minister for Environment,Science and Technology,Ms Sherry Ayittey,Chief Executive of FDB,Dr.Stephen Opuni,Municipal Chief Executive of Kintampo South and member of parliament for the constituency, honourable Yaw Effah-Baafi.
