Akuapem South District to benefit from modern market facility

Aburi (E/R), Oct. 27, GNA – The Akuapem South Municipality has committed GH¢50,000.00 towards the construction of a three-storey market at Aburi in the Eastern Region. Mr O.B Amoah, Member of Parliament for Aburi/Nsawam has also provided GH¢25,000.00 from his share of the HIPC fund for the project.

Otoobour Nana Djan Kwasi II, Aburihene and Akuapem Anafohene made this known to the Ghana New Agency during the Annual Odwira Festival by the chiefs and people of the town. He said the project would start in January 2012. Mr Joe Gidisu, Minister of Roads and Highways said his sector ministry would tar the Aburi – Nsawam road to assist the people to transport their farm produce to marketing centres.
