Akoto Osei slams colleague Ministers for attending event late

The Minister of Monitoring and Evaluation, Dr Akoto Osei has slammed colleague Ministers for attending an event held for them and their Chief Directors, late.

In his closing remarks as the chairperson at the programme for signing of chief directors 2017 performance agreements, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo, apologized on behalf of his colleagues but expressed his disappointment.

‘’I noticed one thing when I came in and forgive me if I speak my heart, Madam Chief of Staff. She [Chief of Staff] came on time, I [Akoto Osei] came on time, and the Chief of Directors came on time but unfortunately, most of my colleagues [Ministers] did not come on time. I apologise for that. This is not how we are running government. President Akufo-Addo has told us; when we want to start a meeting at eleven and its eleven, you cannot come in again.’’

He also apologided on behalf of the other sector ministers who failed to attend the programme stressing that, ‘’ we cannot run government the way it used to be run. Nine O’clock is nine o’clock, and not five after nine.’’
