Akim Oda Old Town Ascension Presbyterian Church elevated

The Akim Oda Old Town Ascension Presbyterian Church, has been elevated from local level to North sub-district under the West Akyem Presbytery.

Reverend Dr Kwame Amoah Kuma, the Chairman of the West Akyem Presbytery congratulated the members for their contributions towards the church’s achievement.

He admonished Christians to show the essence of unadulterated love by portraying its fruits and avoid compromise with sins.

Rev Alexander Nyantakyi, the Head Pastor of the Akim Oda Old Town Ascension Presbyterian Church in a brief history said that the church which has 700 members currently was established in 1891with 15 members.

He said on his transfer to the place in 2010, the members were 300 and has worked assiduously with them to attain elevation.

Rev Nyantakyi urged the members to work harder than before to “push the wheel of development together”, whilst assuring them of God’s unfailing support when the need arises physically and spiritually.
