Akim Oda hospital receives equipment

Akim Oda, Aug 23, GNA – The Akim Oda Government Hospital has received a donation of medical equipment worth thousands of Ghana cedis, to augment facilities in the Physiotherapy Department of the hospital.

They are 150 physiotherapy items and 25 crutches.

Presenting the equipment, Mrs Rose Stella Frempong, a health worker in the United States of America (USA) pointed out that the donation was her personal contribution towards efficient healthcare delivery in the country.

Mrs Frempong who is also the Director of Helping Hand Aid (HHA), a non-governmental organisation in the USA, pledged further assistance to the hospital to help solve some of the problems militating against its smooth operation.

She said the HHA would also make similar donations to various groups and orphanages to help the needy.

Dr Kobena Awotwe Wiredu, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, thanked the donor for her kind gesture and called on stakeholders and other benevolent organisations to assist the hospital in its quest to improve infrastructure and also enhance efficiency in health service delivery.
