Akim Kotoku Chiefs greet President

Akim Manso (E/R), Dec. 30, GNA- Chiefs of the Benkum Division of the Akim Kotoku Traditional Council had sent a congratulatory message to President John Agyekum Kufuor on his re-election.

The message, issued at Assin Manso and signed by Obrempong Sintim Poku III, Benkumhene of the Akim Kotoku Traditional Area, noted that the victory showed that Ghanaians acknowledged the good works of the President to improve the living standard of the people. “We the chiefs in the Benkum Division believe that the President and his government will continue the good work began four years ago to improve the living standard of all Ghanaians, especially the rural dwellers”

“We also appreciate the number of development projects initiated at Akim Manso, especially the rehabilitation of the Akim Manso-Akim Osenase road during your first term in office”, the message said. The message urged farmers to ferment their cocoa for six days before drying to avoid the purple cocoa beans.
