Akim Apirede gets new health post

Akim Aperade (E/R), July 25, GNA – A 94,000-dollar health centre funded by the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and sited at Akim Aperade in the Birim South District was handed over to the Ministry of Health on Thursday.

The project, under the Rural Health Service Project of the Ministry of Health, comprised an Out Patients’ Department and two semi-detached two-bedroom houses, nurses’ quarters and security post. The Birim South District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Amprofi, District Director of Health Service, Dr Kweku Senaya and other officials from the Ministry inspected the structures.

They expressed satisfaction about the work done by the Contractor, Messers Sandal Agencies, but told him to correct a few defects.
