Akatakyi Chief granted GHC100,000 bail

The embattled Chief of Akatakyi, a farming community in the Ahanta West District of the Western region, Nana Bozza lX has been granted bail by a Takoradi Circuit court.

He was granted a GHc100,000 bail with four sureties and expected to report to the police daily.

The chief was charged with fraudulently receiving monies meant for land owners after he was arrested on Tuesday.

The case has been adjourned to April 18th.

Starr FM’s Western region correspondent Emmanuel Ohene Djan reported that some residents who were present at the Takoradi circuit court were angry at the ruling.
