Ajumako gets new sanahene

Ajumako (C/R), March 20, GNA – The Ajumako Traditional Council has installed Nana Afrasi Brempong VII, Odikro of Ajumako Assin (Tweikrom) as the first Sanahene of the Traditional Area. He was carried in a palanquin through the principal streets of the Ajumako town amidst Fontomfrom drumming and brass band music to the Traditional Council Hall, where he took the oath of allegiance before the chiefs and the people.

Taking the oath, Nana Brempong promised to execute his duties towards the development of the area, saying that, he would, however, need the cooperation of his colleagues to be successful. Okokodurfo Ogyeabo Kwamina Hammah Ababio II, Omanhene of Ajumako Traditional Area and President of the Traditional Council, said a chief could not excel in his duties without the support and cooperation of family heads and other subjects. 20 March 11
