Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam go gay over DCE nomination

Essiam, April 20, GNA – There is wide jubilation at Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District over President John Evans Atta Mills’ nomination of Mr Peter Light Koomson as District Chief Executive for the area.

The area had been in a state of ecstasy since Mr Koomson’s nomination was announced last Thursday by the President in press statement.

Mr Koomson is the Central Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

At a meeting of the constituency executives at Essiam on Sunday, Mr Kobena K. Quansah, Chairman of the NDC in the constituency, expressed gratitude to President Mills for making a good choice for the district. “We have worked with Mr Koomson for a long time and we know his capabilities,” Mr Quansah said and added that he (Mr Koomson) had contributed a lot to the growth of the party in the constituency. He assured the President that the nominee would not find it difficult in getting the confirmation of the assembly because the members were aware that he was the right person to lead the district to development.

Mr Quansah further pledged the support of the executive members and called on party supporters to also assist the nominee in the discharge of his duties when given the nod.
