Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission ends 79th Annual Convention

Accra, Jan. 9, GNA – Alhaji Collins Dauda, Minister of Transport designate, has advocated the teaching of inter-faith dialogue in Mission schools to enable the youth to learn the core principles that govern all religions. This, he said, would also create in pupils and students a good understanding of each faith so that they would grow up to believe in God an= d the universality of religion. Alhaji Dauda made the suggestion in a speech at the closing session of the 79th Annual National Convention of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission at Ashongman near Accra at the weekend.

He said Islam made it an article of faith for Muslims to believe in al= l the prophets sent by God to mankind, adding that any Muslim who disbelieved in any of God’s prophets was not a true believer. In his closing address, the Ameer and Missionary in charge of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana, Maulvi Wahab Adam, described as significant the declaration by other Islamic sects that Ahmadi Muslims were Muslims.

He said the declaration was a testimony of the sincerity of religious leaders in Ghana as to the contribution of Ahmadi Muslims towards the development of the nation. Maulvi Adam asked Ahmadi Muslims to be grateful to Allah for favouring Ghana with a conducive environment to worship in peace. He led participants at the convention in a special prayer for continuous peace and prosperity i= n Ghana.
