Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission condemns London bombings

Accra, July 13, GNA – The Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana on Wednesday condemned last week’s explosions in London that have claimed the lives at least 52 people and injured more than 700 describing the act as barbaric and inhumane. This was contained in a message of condolence sent to the Queen and People of the United Kingdom and members of the bereaved families by Maulvi A. Wahab Adam, Ameer and Missionary in-charge of the Mission.

Maulvi Wahab Adam said the act violated all cannons of acceptable human behaviour and stressed that whatever the motives of the perpetrators of the heinous crime were, the killing of innocent people in the pursuit of any cause was against the teachings of all religions.

“Those who attempt to justify violence in the name of religion live outside the pale of their own religion,” he said. He said their acts only created disorder and unnecessary suffering in the world rather than peace and harmony that were the principal objects of all religions.
