Ahmadiyya Hospital gives free medical care to patients

Agona Swedru, March 15, GNA – The Ahmadiyya Hospital in Agona Swedru, on Sunday gave free medical treatment to about 205 people suffering from various diseases.

The exercise formed part of activities marking the visit by Hazrat Mirzh Masroor Ahmed Khalisatul, Supreme Head of the World-wide movement in Islam, to the country.

Dr Mohammed N. Khan, Medical officer in charge of the hospital, said these when the Supreme Head went there as part of his tour to the Central Region.

Dr Khan said about 100 people with eye defects were given free treatment while 80 people with hernia underwent surgical operation. He said patients suffering from blood pressure, fever and other diseases were also given treatment adding that the hospital would continue with the programme for one month.

Khalisatul made a stopover at Gomoa Mangoase, near Agona Swedru to unveil a mission house for the resident pastor.

Khalisatul promised to donate medical equipment and computers to the hospital, to enable it to improve health delivery in the district. Maulvi Wabah Adam, Ameer and Missionary in charge of the Movement in Ghana, accompanied the Supreme Head on the tour.
