Ahmadiya Women End Confab

Techiman (B/A), — 11 June

A two-day annual Brong-Ahafo regional conference of ‘Lajna Imilla’, women’s wing of the Ahmadiyya movement, has ended at Techiman. The conference which was under the theme ”the spirit of sacrifice for nation-building”, was attended by more than 2,000 delegates drawn from Ahmadiyya circuits in the region. It discussed among others the empowerment of women in the missionary activities of the Ahmadiyya movement. Maulvi Alhassan Bashir Annan, Brong-Ahafo regional missionary in charge of the movement, said it is the duty of every Muslim to sacrifice his or her time for nation-building. He noted that success in any field of human endeavour needs a lot of sacrifice.
