Ahanta West Mutual Health Insurance Scheme appoints board members

Agona Nkwanta (W/R) Jan. 26- GNA- Mr Kwesi Biney, District Chief Executive for Ahanta West, has inaugurated an 11-member Board for the Ahantaman Mutual Health Insurance scheme at Agona Nkwanta with a call on the members to promote the scheme to ensure the access of the people to quality health care.

He told the Board chaired by a chief, Nana Gyanteh Panyin 111 that without the success of the Scheme, ” government’s aim of abolishing the Cash and Carry System will be defeated”.

Mr Biney said the District Assembly would sponsor the training of five nurses this year, while plans are underway to provide accommodation facilities to medical doctors.
