Mankranso (Ash), Feb. 19, GNA- The Ahafo-Ano South District Assembly will award a scholarship to the best pupil in Ghana@50 quiz competition, to be organised for schools in 10 education circuits of the district.
Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, the District Chief Executive, announced this after hoisting the flag of Ghana at Mankranso in the district at the weekend, as part of activities to herald the celebration of Ghana’s Golden Jubilee.
Mr. Boateng also said the best schools in sports competition this year would be given sets of jerseys, footballs and other items to commemorate the celebration to encourage children to take sporting activities seriously.
He urged the school children to study hard to attain higher laurels in future.
