Ahafo-Ano North Constituency NDC elects officers

Tepa (Ash), Sept 28, GNA – The Ahafo-Ano North constituency of the National Democratic congress (NDC) on Tuesday elected Mr Maxwell Addai as the constituency chairman at an election conducted by the Electoral Commission (EC) at Yepa.

Other elected officers of the nine-member executive include Mr Seth Donkor, Vice-Chairman, Mr James Sarpong, Secretary, Mr Richard Boakye Agyemang, Assistant Secretary and Mr Emmanuel Awuah, Organising Secretary.

The rest are, Mr Yahaya Mohammed, Deputy Organising Secretary, Miss Mary Dosu, Treasurer, Miss Margaret Afriyie, Assistant Treasurer and Mr Augustine Abu, Media Relations Officer.

Mr Addai thanked the 114 delegates for their confidence in him and assured them of his preparedness to lead the party into victory in the constituency in the 2008 elections.

He advised the party members not to relent but begin to campaign vigorously to win back the seat from the NPP.

Mr Emmanuel Nti-Fordjour, Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NDC, reiterated that the NPP had failed the nation as a result of which Ghanaians were yearning for a change. He therefore urged the executive to work very hard to enable the party return to power in 2008.
