Ahafo-Ano DHMIS pays claims on behalf of beneficiaries

Mankranso (Ash), Nov 1, GNA – The Ahafo-Ano South District Health Mutual Insurance Scheme (DHMIS) has within the first six months of its operation paid 300 million cedis claims on behalf of its registered members to health service providers. The scheme, which commenced business in May, has 10,867 registered members who have so far paid a total amount of 270 million cedis premium.

Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, the District Chief Executive, said this during the first ordinary meeting of the assembly at Mankranso. He said the scheme received 142 million cedis as subvention from the government during the first quarter of its operation. The DCE appealed to people who are yet to register to do so immediately.
