Ahafo Ano Assembly adopts supplementary budget

Mankranso (Ash), May 22, GNA – Mr Kwaku Obeng Boateng, Ahafo-Ano south District Chief Executive, has urged assembly members to show more commitment to development as their term of office draws to an end. He said they should not sabotage or alienate themselves from such initiatives just because their tenure is about to end.

Mr Boateng was addressing the assembly during an emergency meeting to discuss and adopt the year’s supplementary budget on the district assembly’s common fund at Mankranso on Monday.

The DCE announced that the total allocation for the annual budget was 7.6 billion cedis and that it would be used to enhance private sector competitiveness, employment, human resource development, good governance, civic responsibility, security and health.

Other areas to be covered by the budget are information technology, as well as mainstreaming of the vulnerable and environmental sanitation.
