Agric. Review workshop takes place at Wenchi

Wenchi (B/A), Feb 22, GNA- A two-day annual review planning meeting for Wenchi District Agricultural Development Unit (DADU) has ended at Wenchi in Brong Ahafo.

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) organized it in collaboration with the German Technical Co-Operation (GTZ). The plan, jointly prepared by all major stakeholders in the agriculture sector in the district, is aimed at reflecting the needs, concerns and aspirations of farmers and other key players in developing agriculture.

Topics treated included strengthening institutional capacity for improved agricultural policy formulation, technical services delivery and management.

At the closing ceremony, the District Director for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Mr E. Osei-Adade, commended the facilitators and participants for their keen participation. He urged major stakeholders in the agricultural sector in the district to play their roles effectively for the achievement of the objectives of the plan. 22 Feb 02
